Production Management for Can Communicate During the Olympic Games

Basetwo Media again worked with UK communications company CAN Communicate during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. This is the largest project we have worked together on to date.

We provided crew, equipment and production support for 28 days straight of filming at virtually every Olympic event at venues in Vancouver, Richmond and Whistler.

Filming was done both in high definition and in 3D using CAN's proprietary technology. CAN is a leading supplier of 3D production throughout Europe, where events are increasingly being broadcasted in 3D or streamed live to theaters.

The goal was to capture every aspect involved in organizing and executing the Games from behind-the-scenes. This was an amazing experience for our crew who enjoyed unrestricted access, giving them a rare glimpse into the Olympics.

In the past, we have worked with CAN on projects such as the Official Preview video for the Games and on the Coke Torch Relay Video, which was featured at the Coca Cola Pavilion during the Games.

Check out more behind-the-scenes photos on our Facebook page, and stay tuned to our YouTube channel for some behind-the-scenes footage.
