Summer Recap

We had a busy summer here at Basetwo Media, including projects for EA Sports, Comedy Central, Gemcom Software, and Dynacore Equipment. Below are several highlights from our news blog, the rest of which can be read online.

Basetwo Media helped produce the ‘Making Of FIFA 09′ for EA SPORTS (EA Canada). Interviews were shot in HD featuring the game’s key staff and producers, as well as exclusive footage of the motion-capture process in Electronic Art’s massive mocap studio in Burnaby.

Opened in 1999, it is EA's largest studio with nearly 2,000 employees. The team at EAC develops numerous bestselling EA SPORTS franchises, including FIFA, NBA LIVE, and NHL. The impressive state-of-the-art campus features a motion-capture studio, 22 rooms for composing, 14 video editing suites, three production studios, and a wing for audio compositions. Electronic Arts Canada (EAC) also houses a theater, coffee bar, restaurant, cafeteria, expansive fitness room, and full-size soccer field.

  Greenscreen Videos for Bootlegger.com

We worked with ad agency Cowie & Fox to produce clips for a new interactive website for Bootlegger, one of Canada’s most successful retailers of jeans.

The website features Bootlegger ‘Jeaneologists’ who walk the user through the process of finding that ‘perfect fit’.

Basetwo Media completed 8 short product overviews on an interactive DVD for Gemcom Software, one of the world’s leading mining software design firms.

Vicky Petersen, the company’s Web Designer had this to say:

“We were blown away at how professional everything looked! Thanks very much and I am sure that [our sales team] will look very professional at the show with our new sales tool!”

The videos will be used at the MINExpo 2008 in Las Vegas as part of their booth presentation.
