Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions relating to our Video Production Company and our Video Production Services.

How long does it take to produce a video?

This really depends on the project, but most will take between 1-3 months.

How much does it cost?

Cost can vary based on a project's length and purpose, among other factors. Please contact us for a quote.

Can we shoot our own footage and have you do the editing?

This is one way to minimize costs, but only a professional can achieve professional results with regards to lighting, framing, sound and direction.

Who owns the Copyright?

Our services are provided as 'Work for Hire', therefore you own the rights to all completed work. Please refer to our Terms of Service for information on all of our policies.

What about High Definition?

We have been offering High Definition Video Production as an alternative since 2006. However, we still recommend the more cost effective DVCAM format for most projects for reasons outlined in this article.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We can accept a Company Cheque, VISA, Mastercard, or American Express. We offer Terms of 15 days for approved clients.

What Taxes Apply?

We are required to charge GST (5%) and PST (7%) on all services. Special exemptions may apply for PST if we are provided with a PST Number or Exemption Certificate.

Can you service areas outside of Vancouver?

We have completed work across Canada, the U.S., and even Central America, and have developed a network of suppliers and crew across North America in order to keep travel costs to a minimum.

What does the name ‘Basetwo Media’ mean?

The term ‘Basetwo’ refers to the binary numeral system, inherent to digital circuit design. The name essentially means ‘Digital Media’, which is our specialty.
