Case Study: Kryton International

Basetwo Media produced a series of videos for Kryton International. We spoke to Kryton's Yvonne Lee about her experience working with us.

The Client

My name is Yvonne, I am the graphic designer of Kryton International. Kryton is a worldwide leader in manufacturing and distribution of crystalline concrete waterproofing systems since 1973. Our goal is to provide a concrete waterproofing system that works as promised.

The Problem

One of the projects that I have been assigned to is to do product videos. We have a system that is highly specialized, and it's very difficult to convey the steps of application. We tried 2D animations, drawings, detailed step by step instructions - It's just difficult. So it's come to a point that we feel that we need a video so that people can actually watch step by step instructions.

Through the video we can tell them what exactly our systems are and our products. Through the 3D animations and also thru the step by steps of the videos we can specifically convey each of the steps correctly.

The Solution

We created 4 videos for educational and marketing purposes as a combination of using it at tradeshows, using it on the website, and also distributing it within our distributors. Everyone gets a copy, so they can copy it or distribute it themselves.

We uploaded the videos onto the website and people loved it.

It's a growing trend of putting videos online. They can just come to our website and look at the videos and then learn about our systems and technologies, and then if they have further questions they can contact us to learn more.

Why Basetwo Media?

In the construction industry, personally I feel that it's somewhat boring. I wanted to bring some more energy into the videos. Of course we met with several different vendors, but we felt that Basetwo Media had a bunch of young, energetic, and talented professionals.

They have an online collaboration tool which is very good. It's easy to use, everything is in one space. Kryton and Basetwo Media can logon to Basecamp and everything is there, everyone is in the loop and worry free.

I just told them I had this project, I explained to them what needed to be done, and Basetwo Media just took care of it. Everyone was just so professional, it was amazing.
